Privacy notice
Last updated 21 July 2026
This is illustrative sample content for a Solas Studio demo of a fictional counselling practice. It is written to look like a real Essential-tier site's policy page, but it is not a real policy and not legal advice.
Wren Therapy is committed to protecting the privacy of anyone who gets in touch. This notice explains, in plain terms, what personal information we collect, why, and what your choices are.
What we collect
- Your name and email address, when you send an enquiry through the contact form.
- Anything you choose to tell us in your message. Please share only what you are comfortable putting in an email.
- Basic, anonymous statistics about how the website is used (for example, which pages are visited), which do not identify you.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
We use your details only to reply to your enquiry and to arrange an initial conversation. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us, and, once you become a client, performance of our agreement with you.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to sessions are deleted within twelve months. Where a counselling relationship begins, records are kept in line with professional and insurance requirements and our separate client agreement.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information or use it for advertising. We use a small number of trusted service providers (for example, email hosting) purely to operate the practice, and only ever share what is necessary.
Your rights
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. To do any of these, or if you have a concern, email hello@wrentherapy.example. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
