Proposal for Blackbird Studio

Prepared by Solas Studio, James O'Sullivan · 2026-07-21 · Valid until 2026-08-20

Your recommended plan: what we'd build in place of your current site, and how we'd grow it once it's live. You can see the finished build in the Blackbird demo.

Marking the options you're interested in as you read is optional. It just gives us more to talk through, and a sharper call, when we walk it through together. No obligation.

From your two audits

Your gaps, and what your business needs

The website audit and the business audit point the same way. Three gaps matter most, and each one is answered by a specific piece of the Professional plan. Here is each gap on the left, and the feature that closes it on the right.

Gap 1

Enquiries only answered in office hours

Someone browsing at 9pm can't get an answer, so the most motivated visitors drift before you're back at your desk.

Closed by

AI chat assistant, on every page

Trained on your business, it answers at any hour, so the late-night visitor gets a reply instead of drifting.

Gap 2

No way to book at the moment of intent

The free class and joining both wait for a daytime phone call, so the moment of highest intent, right after a good class, is lost.

Closed by

Online call booking

The visitor books on the spot, right when intent is highest, instead of waiting for office hours that never come.

Gap 3

Nothing acknowledges an enquiry

Enquiries arrive, but nothing catches or acknowledges them, so a quiet enquiry can slip away before you're back at your desk.

Closed by

Branded enquiry auto-replies

Every enquiry is caught and acknowledged the moment it lands, so no quiet visitor slips away unanswered.

Three different problems, three different answers. Your current site shows information well but does no work: each gap above is a moment of interest with nothing to catch it, and each is closed by a specific piece of the Professional plan. That is why we land where we do.

Our recommendation

Our bespoke recommendation for Blackbird: the Professional package at £7,500 closes all three gaps we found. Optional add-ons extend it later, when the time is right. So this is why we land on Professional: Essential would rebuild the site itself, while Professional adds the engagement layer that answers all three gaps directly. Each engagement item below maps to a gap the audits named.

Recommended tier

Professional Most popular

£7,500

A fixed price for a complete, launched, fully handed-over site: design, build, setup and handover, all included. There is no separate charge for getting the site live. That is part of what you are buying, not an add-on to it.

The tiers either side, for context

Essential a tier down

A polished brochure site, with every enquiry left for you to handle. That leaves exactly the follow-up work the audits flagged on your plate, so it stops short of the gaps above.

Premier a tier up

More pages, written content and an accessibility pass. Useful later, not needed yet: your content is lean and your site is small, so it would be paying ahead of need.

How it works

Four simple steps to elevate your business. The heavy lifting is ours: you make a few easy calls, we turn our part around in a week or two, and the rest moves at your pace, with us alongside you at each step.

  1. 1 Your part Your inputs A 45-minute kickoff, then your copy and images. About half a day of your time, at your own pace.
  2. 2 ~1 to 2 weeks We build We share a design direction early and build the whole site, engagement layer and all. Everything technical is ours.
  3. 3 Your pace Review Two quick review rounds and a final sign-off. We fold your notes straight in.
  4. 4 Go live Live We launch once you're happy. 30 days of free bug-fixes, then optional care from £75 a month.

Everything technical (hosting, the database, email sending, the AI assistant, the code) we set up ourselves and hand over fully configured. You never touch an account setting.

The result

A site that turns interest into customers

Close every gap above and the leaks close with them. In plain business terms, here is what this gets you:

A tighter customer journey Every moment of interest is caught and answered, so fewer motivated visitors slip away between wanting to act and being able to.
Higher conversion rates More of the people who land actually book, join or enquire, because there is always a clear next step in front of them.
A lower cost per customer You win more from the visitors you already have, so each new customer costs you less to acquire.

Growing together, when you're ready

Everything you need to launch is already in the price above, so nothing here is part of what you're buying now. This is about what comes after: once we have built your site we know your business, and when the time is right we can help you grow it. Every option below is drawn straight from what your audits found, so each is a natural next step we already understand, not an upsell list. It comes in two shapes, recurring-first: the monthly lead-gen ladder we set up and run once your site is live and capturing, then the one-off add-ons we build when they make sense. Mark anything you would like to revisit and we will talk it through, and each is quoted for real only when you want it.

First, the recurring growth ladder, once your site is live and capturing.

Your new site does the capturing. These are the monthly services we then set up and run on top of it to work those leads harder, drawn straight from the business audit's routing (Qualify, then Recover, then Reactivate). Each is something we build once and run for you when you are ready, not something switched on at launch. The figures are illustrative for this demonstration and confirmed once we scope the real fit.

Qualify and route

from £100/mo

Once your site is capturing, the assistant spots a frequent drop-in and offers an honest "you'd save on Unlimited" nudge at the moment they would act, then routes a hot enquiry to your inbox or calendar rather than leaving it to sit. Illustrative: a one-off setup from around £1,500, then from £100 a month to run.

We set this up and run it once the site is live and capturing, not at launch.

Recover, no-show and follow-up

from £200/mo

Automatic reminders and no-show recovery chase booked and free-class spots, and follow up the visitors who went quiet, so a missed booking gets a second chance instead of vanishing. This only works once booking captures who is coming, so the build comes first. Illustrative: a one-off setup from around £2,000, then from £200 a month.

Runs once online booking is live and capturing who is coming.

Reactivate, win-back and recall

from £300/mo

A recall engine brings lapsed members back and nurtures the "not today" visitors on your list, the cheapest booking you will ever make. It can only run once there is an owned email list to run it on, which the build puts in place. Illustrative: a one-off setup from around £2,000, then from £300 a month.

Runs once email capture and an owned list are live.

These lead-gen services run on tokens and sends every month, so they are rented, not owned: a small setup to build the flow, then a monthly fee to run it. All figures here are illustrative for this demonstration and confirmed when we scope the actual fit. We never promise a number of bookings, only the mechanism that goes after them.

Then the one-off add-ons, built when it makes sense

Most of these are built once and then owned outright, sitting on your site working passively; the email and win-back option is the exception, an ongoing monthly service. Each answers something the review actually found, so they read as natural next steps rather than a wish list.

Online payments and class deposits

from £3,000

Take payment when someone joins, and a small refundable deposit when they book. Answers the audit's "no way to take payment or a deposit" finding, and the no-show leak in the business audit. Subject to a payment-setup check, billed separately once your account is verified.

Email capture and a win-back flow

setup, then monthly

A different job from the build, and a different commercial model. It gives visitors who never enquired a way to leave an email, building you an owned list, then re-engages lapsed members over time. The build acknowledges the enquiries you get; this builds and works a list of the people who never enquired. It runs monthly, so it is an ongoing service, not part of the one-off build. Answers the audit's partial email-capture finding and the business audit's re-engagement gap.

Analytics and measurement

quoted separately

See which classes draw interest and where visitors drop off, so decisions rest on numbers rather than a hunch. Answers the audit's missing-analytics finding.

Local search and structured data

quoted separately

Help Blackbird show up properly when someone searches for a studio in Bristol. Builds on the technical and SEO findings in the review.

More pages, content, or a members area

quoted separately

Room to grow into the member-journey work from the business audit, when it is worth building.

Next step

Move forward, or talk it through

Marking the growth options you're interested in is optional, but it makes the call sharper: it tells us what to focus on. Either way, book a call. We'll confirm the fit and, when you're ready, send a Statement of Work to sign. No obligation.

Attached with a real proposal: our security summary, for reassurance on how we handle your project and your customers' data. Package prices are Solas Studio's current Professional-tier rate; the online-payments option is priced from a floor and confirmed after a payment-setup check.
